FENIAN RAID 1866 (Pte. B.C. Thomas, 15th. Bn.). Naming is officially impressed. Dark patina on the obverse, very light contact, shortened original ribbon, near extremely fine.

Footnote: Private Bennett Charles Thomas is shown in the roll of the 185 man 15th (Belleville Infantry) Battalion, and is listed on page 90 of the "Canada General Service Medal Roll, 1866-70" by John Thyen, entitled to the Fenian Raid 1866 clasp. He is documented on the roll as having been posted to Prescott, Ontario, from June 3 to 18, 1866, with an "Attack Expected".
