WWII RCAF Group to Leading Airwoman Vivienne Doull - War Medal 1939-1945; and Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Overseas Clasp. Un-mounted, light contact, near extremely fine. Accompanied by her Royal Canadian Air Force Bracelet (sterling silver gilt with an affixed sterling silver and enamelled RCAF insignia, marked "GOLD FILLED STERLING BASE GOLD SEAL", maker marked "ECCO" and engraved "W-304743 V. Doull" on the reverse, 12.5 mm x 30.7 mm, on a multi-link wrist chain with clasp, light contact, near extremely fine) and copies of her Service Award Computer Card and Service Records. Footnote: W.304743 Leading Airwoman Vivienne Doull was the daughter of John Doull and Helen Littlejohn Young. She was a former resident of Marwayne, Alberta, when she enlisted as a Hospital Assistant and assigned the rank of Airwoman 2nd Class at No. 1 Recruiting Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia on May 19, 1942. She was transferred to Military District No. 7 at Rockcliffe, Ontario for six and a half weeks (May 19 to July 3, 1942), then transferred to No. 1 Technical Training School in St. Thomas, Ontario for three weeks (July 4 to July 25 1942), where she attended training courses in her field as a Hospital Assistant at both locations. She successfully completed her courses and was given a "B' grouping. She was transferred to No. 1 "Y" Depot in Halifax, Nova Scotia on July 26, 1942, where she was awarded the rank of Airwoman 1st Class on August 19th and later, Leading Airwoman on November 19th, along with attending courses in Anti Gas No. 9 (December 1942) and as a Hospital Assistant (January 1943). After eighteen months at No. 1 "Y" Depot, she was struck off strength to Gander Station in Newfoundland on December 24, 1943, where she was posted for the next nineteen months, until returning to Rockcliffe on August 11, 1945. Doull was discharged on November 30, 1945 at Rockcliffe, credited with having served in Canada and Newfoundland for a total of forty-two months, awarded the Defence Medal, the War Medal 1939-1945 and the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal with Overseas Clasp and entitled to wear the War Service Badge, number 706288.
