Cap Badge: in browning copper, maker marked "P.W. ELLIS & CO. LTD. 1916." on the reverse, measuring 46.3 mm (w) x 46.2 mm (h), both lugs intact, green oxidation evident on both sides; Collar Tab: in browning copper, maker marked "P.W. ELLIS & CO 1916" on the reverse, measuring 29.5 mm (w) x 29.8 mm (h), both lugs intact; and Shoulder Title: in bronze, unmarked, measuring 28.5 mm (w) x 13.3 mm (h), both lugs intact. Together, extremely fine.
Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Haldimand County and the Six Nations Reserve, with mobilization headquarters at Cayuga under the authority of G.O. 151, December 22, 1915. The Battalion sailed November 1, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel A.T. Thompson with a strength of 31 officers and 679 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was broken up and absorbed into the 35th and 36th Infantry Battalions. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
