A very well-preserved edition of “A History of Upper Canada College: 1829-1892”, compiled and edited by George Dickson and G. Mercer Adam. It is constructed of a heavy card stock binding with a faux brown leather exterior liner. The cover features a gold embossed coat of arms of Upper Canada College, above dates “1829-1892”, while the reverse bears an embossed seal. The interior content consists of 327 white paper pages featuring a comprehensive history of Upper Canada College, including its role in educating notable figures in Canadian history. It is supplemented by a number of black-and-white sketched illustrations. The book was published in 1893 by Roswell & Hutchison of Toronto. It measures 195 mm (w) x 260 mm (h). Age-appropriate material fatigue is evident, but the book is in an overall near extremely fine condition.
