What's a max bid?

Ribbon banner inscribed "QUEM TIMEBO" in silver, mounted to a bronze gilt insignia base, the voided centrepiece housing the silver numerals "8" and "3" mounted to a circular piece of maroon felt on a wax base, maker marked "J.R. GAUNT MONTREAL" on the reverse, measuring 39.2 mm (w) x 45.5 mm (h), both lugs intact, one of which is bent back, original pin, scattered gilt wear on the reverse, near extremely fine.

Footnote: This Reserve Force regiment originated in Joliette, Quebec on January 13, 1871, when The Joliette Provisional Battalion of Infantry was authorized to be formed. It was re-designated the 83rd Joliette Battalion of Infantry on December 27, 1878, the 83rd Joliette Regiment on May 8, 1900, Le Régiment de Joliette on March 29, 1920, the 2nd (Reserve) Battalion, Le Régiment de Joliette on January 3, 1942, and Le Régiment de Joliette on June 1, 1945. It was reduced to nil strength and transferred to the Supplementary Order of Battle on December 31, 1964.
