In pickled copper, measuring 42.5 mm (w) x 44.3 mm (h), both lugs intact, spotting, surface rust evident on the edges and on the reverse, very fine.
Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Nova Scotia with mobilization headquarters at Truro under the authority of G.O. 151, December 22, 1915. The Battalion sailed July 16, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel R. Innes with a strength of 36 officers and 1,009 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 23rd Reserve Battalion. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
