Type II with "Selkirk Manitoba". In pickled copper, voided, maker marked "DINGWALL WINNIPEG" on the reverse, measuring 45.5 mm (w) x 54 mm (h), both lugs intact, scattered wear in the pickled finish, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Manitoba with mobilized headquarters at Selkirk under the authority of G.O. 151, December 22, 1915. The Battalion sailed September 19, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel G.H. Bradbury with a strength of 32 officers and 843 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 14th Reserve Battalion. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
