Glengarry Badge: in browning copper, voided, maker marked "ELLIS BROS TORONTO" on the reverse, measuring 46.7 mm (w) x 58.5 mm (h), both lugs intact; and Collar Badge Pair: in browning copper, voided, unmarked, measuring 26.8 mm (w) x 34.3 mm (h) and 27.2 mm (w) x 34.5 mm (h), one with intact lugs and pin, the other with intact lugs only. Light surface wear on the bird's feathers on the Glengarry Badge and one of the Collar Badges, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The Battalion was raised and mobilized in Toronto, Ontario under the authority of G.O. 151, December 22, 1915. The Battalion sailed August 9, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel A.A. Miller with a strength of 32 officers and 1,078 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 12th Reserve Battalion. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
