In browning copper, measuring 39.5 mm (w) x 44 mm (h), both lugs intact, some models are known to have been cast as per this example, fissure line evident across "138" and residue evident in the recessed areas from cleaning on the obverse, greening present on the reverse, fine.
Footnote: The Battalion was raised and mobilized in Edmonton, Alberta under the authority of G.O. 151, December 22, 1915. The Battalion sailed August 24, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel R. Belcher with a strength of 42 officers and 870 other ranks. The Battalion was broken up and absorbed into the 47th, 50th, 128th, 137th and 175th Infantry Battalions. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
