Type II without "Canada". In pickled copper, measuring 42.5 mm (w) x 43.3 mm (h), both lugs intact, very light contact, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Central Alberta with mobilization headquarters at Camp Sarcee under the authority of G.O. 151, December 22, 1915. The Battalion sailed October 4, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel J.W. Arnott with a strength of 29 officers and 925 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was broken up and absorbed into the 9th, 11th and 21st Reserve Battalions. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
