Two-piece construction, insignia in silver, mounted to a pickled brass maple leaf base, measuring 45.8 mm (w) x 46.5 mm (h), both lugs intact, spotting, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Northern Ontario with mobilization headquarters at Walkerton under the authority of G.O. 151, December 22, 1915. The Battalion sailed October 17, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel A. Weir with a strength of 31 officers and 978 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 4th Reserve Battalion. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
