In browning copper, maker marked "ELLIS BROS TORONTO" on the reverse, measuring 38.5 mm (w) x 46.7 mm (h), both lugs intact, very light contact, near extremely fine.
Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Toronto, Ontario under the authority of G.O. 69, July 15, 1916. The Battalion sailed April 18, 1917 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel F.L. Burton with a strength of 30 officers and 783 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 3rd Reserve Battalion. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
