Canadian Military Headquarters Armband (upper with a stripe in black wool flanked by red wool fields on either side running the length of the armband, officer's Canadian Military Headquarters badge sewn in place in the centre, the badge consisting of a maple leaf in bronze gilt upon a black wool circular background, the circle ringed in silvered bullion wire, with a capital "A" (Group A) embroidered in place below the badge on the bottom red wool field, the underside in khaki-olive green cotton and stamped in blue ink "(Eric H. James) Lt.Col. / [the second line of text indecipherable] / Canadian Military Headquarters" at the right end, the left end with two brass snap closures placed vertically, each of which is maker marked "NEWEY" and patent marked "PAT. 201450-22", facing two rows of two snap receivers at the right end, measuring 90 mm in width x 415 mm in length, with a 75 mm wide and 85 mm long patch in khaki-olive green wool uniform material sewn in place to the ends on its underside, designed to extend the length of the armband, free of mothing); and Canadian Military Headquarters Cap Badge (in bronze gilt, measuring 35.8 mm (w) x 36 mm (h), both lugs and pin intact). Extremely fine.
