Canada, Commonwealth. A Mark II Brodie Helmet, with Camo Helmet Netting and Repair Kit
Helmet in steel, non-magnetic, in brown, the helmet with a protective edge, inside with a steel-framed cradle supporting a black rubberized liner, underside of the liner with a green canvas support, seven of the eight wedge-shaped rubber pads against the sidewall intact, the eighth one at the right rear having been lost to time, cross-shaped rubber pad held in place with a single bolt in the dome, stamped with the maker "C.L./C." (Canadian Lamp Company), the date, "1942" and the batch number, "59" on the underside at the rear, steel brackets with loops riveted in place on either side and housing a lightly soiled khaki canvas strap with a black finished adjustable buckle, measuring 290 mm in width x 305 mm in depth x 120 mm in height, exhibiting one small dent on the top near the bolt, with very light surface wear. Accompanied by an original Camo Helmet Netting in thick and durable brown and olive green cotton, a very hard item to find, along with two plastic packets containing mesh repair kits in brown and olive green. Better than very fine.
