Canton at the upper left displaying the Union Jack, the jack composed of multiple pieces in red, white and blue cotton sewn in place, the red cotton field forming the remainder of the flag, with a shield-shaped area cut out at the right for the placement of the Canadian coat-of-arms, the version used between 1921 and 1957, the arms sewn in place and screen-printed in red, yellow, blue and green inks on white cotton, thick white canvas hoist sleeve on the left side, the hoist sleeve with an embroidered manufacturer's label sewn in place on the reverse, the label illustrating an anchor and inscribed "Patriot / MADE IN CANADA", a thick rope fed through the hoist sleeve and stitched in place to the body of the flag, the exposed ends of the rope with loops at the top and bottom for placement upon a flagpole, measuring 2,930 mm (w) x 1,505 (h), It exhibits scattered holes throughout the body of the flag, a large triangular-shaped tear at the lower right of the coat-of-arms, slight fraying in the canvas on the hoist sleeve.
