An extremely well-preserved edition of “Defending the Dominion: Canadian Military Rifles 1850-1950”, by David W. Edgecombe. It is constructed of a heavy card stock binding with a glossed green exterior, with obverse bearing a black-and-white photograph of a rifleman flanked by author and title, and the reverse featuring a list of similar works offered by the publisher. The interior content consists of 168 white paper pages featuring a detailed history of Canadian military rifles, supplemented by black-and-white photographs and diagrams. It was published in 2003 by Service Publications of Ottawa, Ontario. The book measures 220 mm (w) x 285 mm (h). It is in an overall extremely fine condition.
