This is a very well-preserved edition of Terry Copp’s “The Brigade: The Fifth Canadian Infantry Brigade, 1939-1945”. The book consists of a heavy card stock binding with a blue exterior liner, accompanied by its original glossed paper stock dust jacket. The obverse exterior of the latter depicts a black-and-white photograph of Canadian forces moving through a ruined town, overlaid by the book’s title and author. The reverse of the exterior depicts photographs of brigade insignia. The interior of the dust jacket features a black-and-white photograph of the author with a brief biography. The book’s content consists of 208 white paper stock pages with black ink text. The text is supplemented by 58 black-and-white photographs of Fifth Brigade personnel, field photographs, and aerial reconnaissance photographs. Also included are a number of black-and-white maps charting the advance through France. The book was published in 1992 by Fortress Publications Inc. of Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada. It measures 200 mm (w) x 262 mm (h). Very minor material fatigue is evident to the dust jacket, but is it otherwise intact and presents in an extremely fine condition.
