Canadian Centennial Medal 1867-1967 (in silver, measuring 36.5 mm in diameter); and Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Medal 1952-1977 (in silver, measuring 32 mm in diameter). Court-mounted with swing bar pinback, both are plated with scattered chipping, edge nicks, original ribbons, better than very fine.
Footnote: The Canadian Centennial Medal 1867-1967 was awarded in celebration of the centenary of Canadian Confederation, to those recommended by national and provincial governments, along with a variety of other bodies and associations. Approximate 29,500 medals were awarded, including 8,500 to the military. The Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Medal 1952-1977 was awarded to Canadians who have made a significant contribution to their fellow citizens, their community or to Canada on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Her Majesty's Accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada. The recipients were selected by a number of partner organizations in every field of Canadian Life. Approximately 30,000 medals were awarded, including 7,000 to the military.
