The Battalion sailed October 25, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel J.R. Vicars with a strength of 32 officers and 972 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 24th Reserve Battalion. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920; WWI 2nd Mounted Rifle Battalion Collar Badge CEF - Browning copper, unmarked, 26.7 mm x 27.7 mm, intact lugs, extremely fine.Footnote: Organized in Victoria, British Columbia, on March 15, 1915, the 2nd Mounted Rifle Battalion began serving in France in September 1915. It was disbanded on November 15, 1920; WWI 163rd Infantry Battalion Collar Badge CEF - Pickled copper, voided, maker marked "E.V. LAMONTAGNE" on the reverse, 26.6 mm x 32 mm, horizontal pinback, light contact, near extremely fine.Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Quebec, with mobilization headquarters at Montreal under the authority of G.O. 151, December 22, 1915. On May 24, 1916 the Battalion was moved to Bermuda for garrison duty. On November 27, 1916 the Battalion sailed for England under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel H. DesRosiers with a strength of 38 officers and 822 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 10th Reserve Battalion. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920; WWI 213th Infantry Battalion Collar Badge CEF - Browning copper, maker marked "GEO. H LEES & Co" and "ELLIS BROS." on the reverse, 26.7 mm x 29.7 mm, intact lugs, extremely fine.Footnote: The Battalion was raised in St. Catharines, Ontario with mobilization headquarters at Toronto under the authority of G.O. 69, July 15, 1916. The Battalion sailed January 21, 1917 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel B.J. McCormack with a strength of 463 officers and men. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 4th Reserve Battalion. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920; WWI 218th Infantry Battalion Collar Badge CEF - Pickled brass, unmarked, 25.5 mm x 28.7 mm, intact lugs, extremely fine.Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Edmonton, Alberta with mobilization headquarters at Victoria under the authority of G.O. 69, July 15, 1916. The Battalion sailed February 17, 1917 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel J.K. Cornwall with a strength of 32 officers and 883 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 8th Brigade, Battery Troops of the Canadian Field Artillery. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
