R.A.); Victory Medal (69953 SJT. G.W. SHARMAN. R.A.); and Defence Medal (unnamed). Very crisp detail, dark patina on the silver medals, all but the BWM with original ribbons, extremely fine. Accompanied by the original cardboard box of issue for the Military Medal and six Original Documents: Officer's Original Copy of His Citation on an Officer's Note Pad Paper (inscribed "Copy, The Adjt 9th Brigade RGA, Reference your 32/159.d/31/1/18, The info name is submitted. This NCO has throughout 18 months service in France shown conspicuous energy, ability & courage being decorated for gallantry in the Field on 5/16/17, No 69953 Sgt Sharman MM, Signed D. Adams Capt for major RGA Commandg 130 Hy Bttry RGA 1/2/18", 137 mm x 196 mm); Royal Garrison Artillery Records Office Letter (asking Sharman if he desired presentation of his Military Medal or if not, to return the attached form, which he did, 95 mm x 202 mm); Royal Garrison Artillery Records Office Letter Accompanying the Military Medal (numbered "1582", dated April 14, 1919 at RGARO, Dover, 177 mm x 200 mm); British Passport (issued July 3, 1919, with various renewals, large photo of Sharman with Foreign Office stamps, multiple stampings from India on the foldout passport, with Occupied German Territory Insurance of Baggage note dated October 1923 stapled to it, 112 mm x 173 mm); British Visa/Travel Pass (numbered "63", issued June 28, 1913 at Isfahan, Iran, to allow "Mr. George William Sharman, a British subject, travelling to England via Russia and the Continent" to pass freely, signed by merchant Sharman and G. Grahame, Consul General, with Russian copy and Iranian and Russian stamps on the reverse, 277 mm x 357 mm); and Iranian Visa Fee for Foreign Subjects Receipt (numbered "26", issued in the 1920s, 140 mm x 152 mm). Also included are copies of the War Diary of Intelligence Summary (dated October 1917 at St. Eloi, France, noting "Sgt. Sharman awarded the Military Medal"); Award Document Index Cards; and Citation from the London Gazette 13020 (dated December 12, 1917).
