George V (CAPTAIN. S.J. GILMORE, 16th REGIMENT.). Naming is impressed in large capitals,, with double struck letters "P" in rank, "R" in surname and "G" in Regiment. Light contact, replacement ribbon with cardboard support, very fine. Footnote: Captain S.J. Gilmore of the 16th Prince Edward Regiment (Canadian) received his medal by G.O. 107 in 1917. He was also a recipient of the Colonial Auxiliary Forces Officers' Decoration while with the Hastings and Prince Edward Regiment in 1908 and the Volunteer Officers' Decoration in 1921.
