An 8th Reconnaissance Regiment (14th Canadian Hussars) Beret, Shoulder Flash and Battle Dress Unit Patch; 8 Recce Beret (with a finely textured black wool exterior, a 12 mm wide blackened leather border along the open end, with a black lace protruding from an opening in the border at the right rear, allowing for adjustment versus the wearer's head, two eyelets on right side for ventilation, with a black leather support patch stitched in place on the underside, a 35 mm x 48 mm silvered and gilt metal 8 Recce regimental cap badge on the left side, the badge affixed by dual lugs and pin on the underside, secured in place by a yellow tinted plastic support, the inside lined in black cotton, stamped in white ink with a faded manufacturer's name, "7 1/4" size mark and the British Broad Arrow acceptance mark in the dome, measuring 270 mm (w) x 310 mm (h)); 8 Recce/14th Canadian Hussars Shoulder Flash (inscribed in yellow embroidered lettering "VIII CDN RECCE REGT / 14 CH", on a black wool base, measuring 128 mm (w) x 42 mm (h)); and 8 Recce Battle Dress Unit Patch (insignia in black wool, with a yellow wool centre, sewn in place to a blue wool base, measuring 78 mm (w) x 48 mm (h)). Free of mothing, extremely fine.
