Within its original box, this rare and early merchant marine cap has been well maintained and therefore shows little aging. Although worn on the interior, there is zero mothing. Made by Self & Son,79 Fenchurch Street, & Railway Place & London Street, LONDON. With nice bullion detailing, on the brim, and a green leather underside. Importantly, the badge, appearing original to this cap, remains in VF condition with only slight wear. With its original leather band and buttons, this cap is VF. Also accompanying this cap & box is the original invoice to Captain J.A. Raymond. Moreover, a picture housed within a silver frame shows Captain Raymond in full uniform. Overall a complete and nice collection.
