WWI CEF Leather Snake Belt - Fabricated from a durable, thick, high-quality leather, polished dark brown-coloured exterior, brushed textured underside, stamped with the Canadian Broad Arrow insignia, maker marked impressed "B.F. ACKERMAN, SON & Co., PETERBORO, ONT" and dated "1913" on the protective tab at the waist, left side is hand scratched with the name "PTE WM J MARKLE" on the underside, right side has two sliding leather belt loops and one row of ten holes, adjustable to a waist size of 26-34 inches, brass hardware with S-shaped snake catch on the right side loop and receiving ring on the left side loop, measures 45 mm x 1,000 mm. Has seen moderate use, with wear and creasing that is to be expected with a belt of this age, yet it remains very supple to the touch, well-stitched, continuing to exhibit a beautiful finish, quality workmanship, extremely fine.
