In bronze, obverse illustrating the Royal Canadian Engineers insignia in the centre, with emanating rays forming a sunburst effect coming from it, surrounded by the inscription "18 CANADIAN FIELD COMPANY - ROYAL CANADIAN ENGINEERS" in a circle around the sunburst, the outer ring around the inscription with eleven circles illustrating various scenes during the war with accompanying captions, clockwise from the 12 o'clock position: D-DAY, EMS CROSSING, NORTH HOLLAND, RHINE CROSSING, REICHSWALD SIEGFRIED LINE, NYMEGEN SALIENT, SCHELDT ESTUARY, CHANNEL PORTS, SEINE CROSSING, FALAISE, CAEN, with flags of the Canada Corps and the 51st Division on either side of the D-DAY scene, along with a single maple leaf between each of the other scenes for a total of nine, reverse maker marked "GERRITSEN & VAN KEMPEN ZEIST - NETHERLAND" with the Dutch crown above, measuring 124.5 mm in diameter, edge nicks, surface wear, better than very fine.
