In bronze, a memorial plaque with name HOWARD NEWTON JENKINS, measures 120.8mm (diameter), reverse plain, scuffing on reverse, light contact, lovely patina, in extremely fine condition.
Footnote: Howard Newton Jenkins was born on December 13, 1889, in Preston, Iowa. Prior to enlisting in December of 1917 with the Canadian Engineers, he was a carpenter in Tacoma, Washington, USA. He was taken on strength in July 1918 with the 8th Battalion, Canadian Engineers. He was admitted to the hospital in December 1918. He died of influenza and myocarditis on February 23, 1919.
