What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

In silver, obverse illustrating the bust of Bishop François de Laval (AKA Saint Francis-Xavier de Montmorency-Laval), surrounded by the Latin inscription "FRANCISCUS DE LAVAL PRIMUS EPISCOPOR CANAD. CONDITOR SEM. QUEBECENS.", engraver marked "JOHNSON.", with his personal coat-of-arms below, reverse inscribed in Latin "DOCTRINAE ET PIETATI" within an open-ended wreath of laurel leaves, surrounded by the Latin inscription "DISCIPLINAE THEOLOG. ACADEMIAE LAVALLIANAE", measuring 40 mm in diameter, very light contact, near extremely fine.
