Merot", obverse illustrating a standing Canadian soldier with a rifle firmly planted in his left hand, the butt of the rifle touching the ground, two soldiers to his right in the trenches with a machine gun and the inscription "PRISE DE VIMY" (Capture of Vimy Ridge) above, reverse illustrating a crown above a ribbon banner inscribed "CANADA" overlaying a maple leaf in the centre, flanked by the dates "1914" on the left and "1918" on the right, inscribed "MEMORIAL CANADIAN ARMY" above, unnamed horizontal box supported by wreathing below, 67.3 mm, very crisp detail, light contact, near extremely fine.
