What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

93rd Infantry Battalion "Peterborough Battalion" Cap Badge (pickled brass, unmarked, 41.3 mm x 43.3 mm, intact lugs and pin); 8th Mounted Rifle Battalion Cap Badge (browning copper, voided, unmarked, 41 mm x 43.5 mm, intact slider); and Police Cap Badge (white metal beaver insignia on a blackened bronze maple leaf base, unmarked, 50.5 mm x 58.5 mm, intact lugs). Ranging from better than very fine to extremely fine. Footnote: The 93rd Infantry Battalion was raised in Peterborough County, Ontario with mobilization headquarters at Peterborough under the authority of G.O. 151, December 22, 1915. The Battalion sailed July 15, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel T.J. Johnston with a strength of 36 officers and 868 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 39th Infantry Battalion. It was disbanded September 15, 1920. The 8th Mounted Rifle Battalion was organized in Ottawa, Ontario on March 15, 1915. It was broken up, in order to provide reinforcements and was finally disbanded on November 15, 1920.
