WWI 13th Infantry Battalion Gold Stickpin - Gold, weighing 2.2 grams, hallmarked and marked "10K" on the reverse of the insignia, marked "PATRE . ISD1909" with an engraved animal insignia on the stickpin receiver, 6.2 mm x 11.7 mm, on a 57.6 mm stickpin with receiver, light contact, near extremely fine. Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Quebec and Nova Scotia with mobilization headquarters at Camp Valcartier, Quebec under the authority of P.C.O. 2067, August 6, 1914. The Battalion sailed October 3, 1914 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel F.O.W. Loomis with a strength of 45 officers and 1,112 other ranks. The Battalion served in France and Belgium with the 3rd Infantry Brigade, 1st Canadian Division. It was disbanded September 15, 1920. WWI Canada General Service Tie Badge - 9K Gold, marked "9C" and hallmarked on the bar, weighing 2.1 grams, 14 mm x 15.5 mm hand engraved Canada General Service maple leaf insignia, on a 41.5 mm long bar with horizontal pinback, extremely fine.
