WWI 125th Infantry Battalion Insignia CEF - Cap Badge (browning copper, maker marked "G.F. HEMSLEY LTD" on the reverse, 43.8 mm x 47.5 mm, bent upper tip); and two Collar Tabs (pickled brass, unmarked, 29 mm x 29.8 mm each, intact lugs). Light contact, near extremely fine.Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Brant County, Ontario with mobilization headquarters at Brantford, Ontario under the authority of G.O. 151, December 22, 1915. The Battalion sailed August 9, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel M.E.B. Cutcliffe with a strength of 32 officers and 974 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 8th Reserve Battalion. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
