Pickled brass, unmarked but known to have beeen manufactured by Hemsley, very crisp detail, measuring 30 mm x 32.8 mm, intact lugs, extremely fine. Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Manitoba with mobilization headquarters at Winnipeg under the authority of G.O. 69, July 15, 1916. The commanding officer of the Battalion was Lieutenant-Colonel E.C. Pitman. The Battalion was absorbed into the 97th Infantry Battalion in Canada due to the lack of recruits
