WWI 62nd Infantry Battalion Collar Tab CEF - Browning copper, maker marked "O.B. ALLAN." on the reverse, 28.5 mm x 32 mm, intact prongs, extremely fine. Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Southern British Columbia under the authority of G.O. 103A, August 15, 1915. The mobilization headquarters was at Vancouver, British Columbia. The Battalion sailed March 23, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel J. Hulme with a strength of 36 officers and 1,037 other ranks. The Battalion was absorbed into the 30th Reserve Battalion in England. It was disbanded September 15, 1920.
