WWI British War Medal to the 54th Canadian Infantry - (763661 L. CPL. A. HEBBURN. 54-CAN.INF.). Naming is officially impressed. Dark patina, light contact, near extremely fine. Footnote: Alfred Hebburn was born on February 9, 1892 in Guildford, Surrey, England. He was a resident of Bracebridge, Ontario when he signed his Attestation Paper with the 122nd Infantry Battalion, on April 8, 1916 at Bracebridge, at the age of 24, naming his next-of-kin as his brother, William Hebburn of Bracebridge, stating that he had no previous military service, that he was not married and that his trade was that of Farmer. In England, he was transferred to the 54th Infantry Battalion.
