Mexico, Porfiriato Period. A Yucatan Cross, II Cross. (Cruz de Yucatan). Instituted in 1902. A silver cross with blue and white enamels arms, with silver laurel wreath segments in each quadrant, the large white enamel obverse inscribed PREMEO DEL ESTADO DE YUCATAN 1902 (Prize of the Yucatan State 1902), measures 43.09mm (w) x 47.53mm (h - inclusive of its integral ring), weighs 23.8 grams, reverse is plain silver, reverse medallion embossed CAMPANA CONTRA LOS MAYAS (Campaign against the Mayans Indians), suspended from a silver bar suspension and original blue ribbon with hanger bar, enamel of the arms intact, heavy chipping evident in the white enamels on the centrepiece on the obverse, dark patina, hangar bar pins are bent and broken, fine condition.
Mexico. Yaqui Campaign Cross, Cross. (Cruz por la Campaña del Yaqui). Instituted 1910. A silver cross with red Maltese cross, green enamelled laurel wreath in each quadrant, missing the central medallion, suspended from a bar inscribed SONORA, worn from original ribbon with hangar bar, measures 36.20mm (w) x 36.46mm (h), weighs 21.4 grams (including ribbon), enamel chipped, missing medallion, enamel on bar heavily chipped, fair condition.
Mexico. Scribe Medal. A silver medal, obverse presenting a scale, with crossed branch and sword, inscribed ESCHIBANO D COBIERNO, the reverse is hand engraved Francis Calapir ano de 1840, suspended from a bar suspension and worn on original green silk ribbon, 30.72mm (w) x 33.46mm (h – inclusive of integral ring), weighs 4.6 grams (including ribbon), dark patina, ribbon damaged, better than fine condition.

A silver five point star with red enamel arms, a secondary five point star of clusters of five silver rays with a laurel wreath in each quadrant is superimposed, the center medallion features a red enamel field inscribed 2a surrounded by a white enamel ring inscribed MERITO MILITAR, the reverse features a white enamel field inscribed 1902, surrounded by a silver gilt laurel wreath, suspended from a bar suspension and red ribbon, measures 44.14mm (w) x 49.48mm (h – inclusive of integral ring), weighs 26.5 grams (excluding ribbon), original red ribbon connected but in tatters, hanger attached to end of ribbon but is broken, enamel chipped on obverse and reverse central medallions, dark patina, near fine condition.
