What's a max bid?

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

In bronze gilt with green and enamels, un-named, marked "THE CONGRESS TO" on the reverse of the eagle and VALOR suspension, 38.5 mm x 58 mm inclusive of its eagle and VALOR suspension, on a period original full-length neck ribbon with horizontal octagonal thirteen star cravat pad sewn in place, triple snap closure, intact enamels, extremely fine. In its hardshelled case of issue, marked "MEDAL OF HONOR" and "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" on the lid, missing its medal platform, soiling evident on the exterior, case very fine.
