Two-piece construction, bronze gilt and enamels, privately impressed "JULIUS DUBIN 377 INF GERMANY" on the reverse, 35 mm x 43.5 mm, original ribbon with brooch pinback, scattered gilt wear, crazing and chipping evident in the purple enamels to the right of Washington's bust, very fine. Accompanied by its 10 mm x 35 mm Ribbon Bar with pinback and its 4 mm x 17 mm Enameled Ribbon Bar with button hole attachment, in its hardshelled case of issue, marked "PURPLE HEART" on the lid, fabric peeling away from the exterior hinged area, lightly scuffed exterior, case also very fine.
