Bronze gilt, impressed "1910" on the edge, obverse illustrating Huitzilopochtli, the Aztec God of War, branches of cactus on either side, a volcano to the right, an eagle with six spears behind it below, reverse illustrating the New York State coat-of-arms, inscribed "MEXICAN BORDER SERVICE" above, "1916" to the left, "1917" to the right and "PRESENTED BY STATE OF NEW YORK" below, 33.5 mm, original ribbon with brooch pinback, light contact and gilt wear, near extremely fine.
