Footnote: In a letter written by George Loudon to the Newcastle News and published on Friday December 8, 1933, he described the differences between the Caterpillar Club badge and the Rip Cord Club of the World badge: To become a member of the Caterpillar Club, a person must make an emergency jump, saving his or her life by the use of a parachute, while to become a member of the Rip Cord Club of the World, one must make a volunteer jump, either after graduating or under the instruction of a graduate of the Chunate School of Parachute Rigging.
