United States; Two-piece construction, 14K Gold with blue enamels, weighing 12.6 grams inclusive of its ribbon, engraved in outstanding running script ""No. 73. / Maritje Victoria Parcells Bischy / Rev Everardus Bogaudus."" and maker marked on the reverse, name worn but most likely ""Tiffany & Co"", 25.7 mm (w) x 28 mm (h), with a 17.5 mm long flexible Gold band attached to the bottom, original ribbon with pinback, chipping evident in the blue enamels, near extremely fine.

Dr. Goodwin had a successful career as an educator and prominent physician in New York as well as actively serving in both World Wars with the United States Medical Corps. He acted as both President and Vice-President of the Orders and Medals Society of America (OMSA) and is responsible for organizing their first convention in 1960. He maintained further membership with the American Society of Military Collectors, the International Orders Research Society, and the American Numismatic Society.
