What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

In bronze, maker marked "CHAS. M. ROBBINS CO. ATTLEBORO, MASS." on the reverse, measuring 32 mm (w) x 37.5 mm (h), original ribbon, suspended from hanger with pinback, the hanger inscribed "FILII VETERANORUM", greening evident on the reverse of the badge, light contact, better than very fine.

Footnote: The Sons of Veterans of the Civil War is a fraternal organization dedicated to preserving the history and legacy of heroes who fought and worked to save the Union. Organized in 1881 and chartered by Congress in 1954, it is the legal successor to the Grand Army of the Republic.
