United States. Four Membership Badges Attributed to Mary A. Taylor c.1900
1. National Society of Patriotic Women of America Membership Badge (two-piece construction, in Gold with red, white and blue enamels, weighing 14.2 grams inclusive of its ribbon and hanger, engraved in running script "Mary A. Taylor. No. 222.", number hand engraved "741191", along with a horizontal pinback on the reverse, measuring 34.3 mm (w) x 39 mm (h), original ribbon suspended from a hanger with pinback, the hanger inscribed with the blue enameled initials "N.S.P.W.A.");
2. Daughters of Holland Dames Membership Badge (two-piece construction, in Gold with blue enamels, maker marked "PICKSLAY & Co" and engraved in running script "Mary A. Taylor. Simon Janse Van Arsdalen. No. 118." on the reverse, measuring 26 mm (w) x 41.8 mm (h) inclusive of its laterally-pierced ball suspension, original ribbon su spended from a hanger with pinback);
3. Revolutionary Memorial Society of New Jersey 1776-1896 Membership Badge (two-piece construction, in 14K Gold with blue enamels, marked "14" (14K Gold) and maker marked "MUER" on the reverse, measuring 27 mm (w) x 30.5 mm (h) inclusive of its integral suspension, original ribbon suspended from a hanger with pinback, the hanger engraved in running script "Mary A. Taylor" on its obverse and "March 12-1898" on its reverse); and
4. National Society Daughters of the Empire State Membership Badge (in bronze gilt with red, white, light blue, dark blue and green enamels, number engraved "71" on the reverse, measuring 25 mm in diameter, original ribbon suspended from a hanger inscribed "NEW YORK" with pinback, in its box of issue, maker marked "JOHN FRICK, JEWELER & MEDALIST, 8 LIBERTY PLACE, NEW YORK" on the inside lid). Intact enamels, extremely fine.
