Copper, canteen-shaped, obverse with raised lettering incorporating a small "U.S." in the centre and inscribed "50th ANNIVERSARY OF THE BATTLE OF GETTYSBURG 1863-1913", reverse with raised lettering incorporating a large "U.S.", 23.8 mm x 30.7 mm, connected by two copper arms to loops on its sides, original ribbon with hanger, ornate locking clip and chain attached to the hanger, clip marked "AT6-908JFM&Co", very light contact, extremely fine.
