MAY 4. 1886. / JUNE 22. 1886." with pot suspended over a campfire insignia on the reverse of the suspension); Miniature World War I Victory Medal (in bronze gilt, measuring 18.3 mm in diameter, original ribbon with pinback, marked "MADE IN ENGLAND" on the pinback); three Society of the Army of Santiago de Cuba Membership Badge Rosettes (in red, yellow and green embroidery, measuring 10 mm in diameter each, all three with black metal button hole attachments maker marked "B B & B Co. PHILA" (Bailey, Banks & Biddle, Philadelphia); and three Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) Membership Lapel Badges (in red bronze, measuring 16 mm in diameter each, one marked with the pot suspended over a campfire insignia on the button hole attachment, the other with an unmarked button hole attachment). Very light contact, near extremely fine.
All eleven items are enclosed within a presentation case with a padded gray cloth fabric exterior, the interior lined in purple velvet and incorporating six medal pockets, three on either side of the spine, the pockets in purple satin, one of the pockets maker marked "BAILEY, BANKS & BIDDLE COMPANY PHILADELPHIA" in gold-colored ink, with recessed slotted areas housing the Lapel Badges and Rosettes along the open edge on either side, dual-hinged, sliding and locking latch closure, measuring 160 mm in width x 140 mm in length x 47 mm in depth, soiled on the exterior, wear evident on the purple satin on the pockets and where it overlays the hinged area on the interior, case fine.
