A pair of Navy Occupation Service Medals, including a Marine Corps version, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback and Asia Clasp, the obverse with a raised depiction of Poseidon mounted on a Hippocampus, above an inscription of “OCCUPATION SERVICE”, the reverse with a national eagle perched on top of an anchor, flanked by an inscription of “FOR SERVICE” and topped by an inscription of “UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS”, unmarked, measuring 32 mm in diameter, accompanied by a ribbon bar, set on a 35 mm-long bronze backer with horizontal pinback, unmarked, as well as a period original presentation case, constructed of card stock with a faux blue leather exterior, the lid with a silver inscription of “OCCUPATION”, unmarked, measuring 56 mm (w) x 106 mm (l) x 12 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition, and; a Navy version, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, the obverse with a raised depiction of Poseidon mounted on a Hippocampus, above an inscription of “OCCUPATION SERVICE”, the reverse with a national eagle perched on top of an anchor, flanked by an inscription of “FOR SERVICE” and topped by an inscription of “UNITED STATES NAVY”, unmarked, measuring 32 mm in diameter, accompanied by a ribbon bar, set on a 36 mm-long bronze backer with dual butterfly clips, unmarked, also accompanied by its period original presentation case, constructed of card stock with a faux blue leather exterior, the lid with a silver inscription of “OCCUPATION”, unmarked, measuring 56 mm (w) x 106 mm (l) x 12 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
