What's a max bid?

Your maximum bid should be the highest amount you're willing to pay for an item.

Max bidding example:

If the current auction price is $100 dollars and you place a maximum bid of $120 dollars, the system will bid $101 dollars on your behalf.

If no other participant places a bid, you win that auction lot for $101 dollars.

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

Buyer's Premium

All bids are subject to a Buyer's Premium which is in addition to the placed successful bid. The following rate of Buyer's Premium will be added to the Hammer Price of each Lot that you purchase:

Connecticut Spanish-American War Medal 1898 (bronze, number impressed "1002" on the edge, 33 mm, original ribbon with brooch pinback); Connecticut Medal of Valor (gold plated, maker marked and marked "1/20 10K G.F." on the reverse, 33.3 mm x 62.3 mm inclusive of its eagle suspension, original ribbon with brooch pinback); two Connecticut Faithful Service Crosses (one is bronze, maker marked "ROBBINS" on the reverse, 39 mm x 70.5 mm inclusive of its eagle suspension, original ribbon with brooch pinback; the other is bronze, unmarked, 39.7 mm x 73.2 mm inclusive of its eagle suspension, "TEN YEARS" clasp on its original ribbon with brooch pinback, accompanied by its 10.3 mm x 37.5 mm Ribbon Bar with 10 Year Eagle clasp); Connecticut Faithful Service Cross Ribbon Bar with Bronze Eagle Clasp; and City of Hartford Colt Park Medal 1925 (bronze gilt, maker marked "W & H. CO." (Whitehead and Hoag Company and Newark, New Jersey) on the reverse, 35 mm, lightly soiled original ribbon with brooch pinback). Ranging from very fine to extremely fine.
