What's a max bid?

In bronze gilt, measuring 37.5 mm in diameter, original ribbon with brooch pinback, near mint. In its cardboard box of issue, Dieges & Clust manufacturers label affixed to the lid, scuffing and wear evident on the exterior, the one end panel coming away, box fine.

Footnote: The Department of the Army Decoration for Exceptional Civilian Service is the highest award that may be bestowed by or on behalf of the Secretary of the Army to Army civilian employees. The medal was approved by the War Department on December 29, 1945. It is awarded for a pattern of achievement and excellence, which may have been previously recognized by awards up to and including the Meritorious Civilian Service Award. This award consists of a gold medal, lapel button and certificate. A ribbon bar and miniature medal is also available for private purchase.
