He served from 1953 to 1983 (estimated) in the rank of 1st Sergeant (XX-XX9-815; SSAN 509-28-5667) with Company "C", 2nd Battalion, 34th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, much of his service during the Vietnam War.
