What's a max bid?

If another auction participant places a bid of $110 dollars, the system will subsequently place a bid of $111 dollars on your behalf. The system will continue to bid in $1.00 dollar increments until your maximum bid of $120 dollars is exceeded.

If another auction participant places a bid for $125 dollars, the auction lot price will display $121 dollars having exceeded your previously submitted maximum bid by $1.00 dollar.

In silver gilt, multi-piece construction, an eagle shaped badge with outspread wings, clutching a cluster of arrows and a laurel branch in each talon, a white enamelled banner inscribed DAUGHTERS OF THE CINCINNATI, the obverse medallion features a white enamelled 13 point ovular star with a super imposed left facing bust in the center, a light blue enamelled ring around the bust reads SERVATA FIDES CINERI, the reverse center is engraved LT. W. GREENLEAF. A MAYO SMITH No. 585, marked BB&B PHILA (denoting Bailey, Banks & Biddle manufacture) on the reverse of the banner, measures 31.5mm (w) x 33.5mm (h - inclusive of integral ring), weighs 17.1 grams (inclusive of ribbon), worn on original ribbon with pin brooch, light enamel wear on the obverse medallion, light wear throughout, in overall extremely fine condition.
