What's a max bid?

Two-piece construction, in bronze gilt with purple, red, white and green enamels, engraved "PFC JAMES W. DAVIS USMC" on the reverse, measuring 35 mm (w) x 43.5 mm (h), original ribbon with brooch pinback, intact enamels, extremely fine. Accompanied by its 35.2 mm (w) x 9 mm (h) ribbon bar and its 16.8 mm (w) x 3.2 mm enamelled ribbon bar.

Footnote: James William Davis was born on March 24, 1947. He was a resident of Ypsilanti, Washtenaw County, Michigan when he enlisted with the United States Marine Corps. 375503214 Rifleman, Private First Class James William Davis, I Company, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, United States Marine Corps began his tour of duty on July 7, 1969 and served during the Vietnam War. He was Killed in Action in Quang Nam Province on August 13, 1969, at the age of 22 and is remembered with honor on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, Panel 19W, Line 29.
